Craighead Electric Cooperative provides several convenient ways to pay your electric bill. All are free from payment fees so choose the payment method best suited to you. 

Pay By Mail the tried-and-true way with a signed check. Tear off the perforated stub from the bottom of your bill and put it in the envelope with your check. Write your account number(s) on your check so that it is applied to the correct account. 

Pay in Person during regular business hours by bringing your payment and entire bill to either our Jonesboro, Paragould, or Walnut Ridge offices any weekday between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Pay by Phone by dialing 844-937-1640 and follow the automated instruction to make a payment with your major credit or debit card. This option is available 24/7.

Drive Thru Drop Boxes let you drop off your payment after hours at any of our three offices. Please include your bill stub and write your account number on your check or money order. 

Pay your bill online and view your daily usage. Log on in to your account at to log in or set up your account. You will have access to previous bills and kilowatt-hour usage.

Recurring Credit Card payments is one of our most requested payment options. Set up recurring credit card payments in your online account at This option automatically pays your monthly electric bill using the credit card information listed on your account. All stored credit card information is encrypted, making recurring payments a secure and convenient alternative to the traditional bank draft. Keep in mind, unlike bank accounts, credit cards will eventually expire. When your stored credit card expires, another payment option will need to be used. Log-in to your Online Account and click on Recurring Credit Card in the Account menu to set up recurring credit card payments today.

Third-Party Bill Pay Services like those provided by banks and bill service providers can be used to pay your CECC bill. Note that these services print a physical check with your CECC account number on it and mail it to CECC’s main office. These payments are not posted to your account until received by mail so allow plenty of time for postage. 

Levelized Billing lets you predict the future. With Levelized Billing, you will know what to expect on your monthly electric bill. Levelized bills are calculated by adding your current kWh cost to your previous 11 months’ kWh cost and dividing by 12, so the amount you are charged is approximately the same month after month — even throughout peak cooling and heating periods. This does not reduce the total amount you pay for energy through the year but will smooth out your highs and lows so you will know what to expect on your electric bill. There is no charge for using the Levelized Billing Plan. To be eligible, you must have been a Craighead Electric member for at least 12 months. Automatic Bank Draft pays your electric bill directly from your bank account. Bank drafts occur on the same date each month. You can quit worrying about due dates, writing checks or being unable to pay while you’re away.  Paper electric bills are still sent each month for your records and your bank statement will reflect the amount paid. PowerMyWay is Craighead Electric’s pre-paid Metering Program. As consumers, we pre-pay for most of the things that we buy: groceries, fuel, entertainment, why not electricity? The same way that you would buy a gallon of gas to put in your car, PowerMyWay allows you to purchase a Kilowatt-Hour of electricity for your home before it is consumed.  With prepay, as the name implies, you carry a credit on your account that depletes as you use electricity. Add money to your account at any time in any amount you choose to keep your balance above zero. If your account does hit zero, you are automatically disconnected. This method of billing has numerous advantages. There are no disconnect fees, no reconnect fees, and, as always, no payment fees. There is no monthly bill, so there can be no late fees and there is no need for a deposit.
